Hello and welcome. I hope that I can offer a way for you to make changes in your life that will help you to feel better and achieve a sense of well-being and confidence.

I am a Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years experience in both the NHS and independent practice. Clinical Psychologists have extensive post-graduate training in the assessment and treatment of psychological difficulties. We complete a degree in Psychology before going on to study to Doctorate level in Clinical Psychology. This allows broad and in-depth training in different approaches to therapy from childhood onwards and ensures that you will receive help with your unique set of needs at whatever your stage in life.

Back to topHow will we work together?

It is often helpful to have an initial conversation by phone where we can consider whether this would be a useful service for you. In the first meeting we will discuss what you would like to achieve in therapy and understand more about how to introduce changes that will help. At the end of this initial meeting we can agree together on how often and for how many sessions we are likely to meet.

People usually decide to seek help in understanding how their thoughts, feelings and actions are interconnected. The sessions encourage the development of new skills. These are likely to include coping strategies, new patterns in thinking and behaving, understanding how your body responds to distress and the ability to maintain improvements. There will be a focus on building resilience so that you head into the future feeling better prepared and less likely to repeat unhelpful patterns. This work can take place individually, with couples, families and even in organisations.
